Serendipitous Jazz
So there we were on our last night in NYC, relaxing with a margarita in a street-side Village restaurant, when my partner-in-travel receives an unexpected message from the UK recommending a jazz band playing in the city that night.
Upon further investigation we realised that we were sitting, quite by chance, in the next street to the gig, and had received the message just in time to wander round and secure ourselves the last couple of tickets.
It was a great night, and a win for spontaneity.
